house update

Above: the ditch for our underground electric, this was done last Friday (the day of the big storm!). It was a long hot day for them as they worked all day on this project, and then had to go help at their uncles dairy farm late into the night because of the storm damage/electric being off.  We were without electric for 75 hours, thankfully!  I say thankfully because there are people around us that just got there's back on after 7 days, and still some without.  Below: The ditch for the water line.  It's now finished. We'll have water in the house just as soon as the indoor plumbing is on.
Today Ethan is 12 weeks old!  So yesterday we took some photos.  This first outfit drove me crazy, the bibs didn't stay down, looked like he had no neck :) So i changed him into something more fitting.. John Deere!
Some times he just doesn't like smiling, he'd rather blow bubbles.
He's really likes sucking on his hands and arms..... and they kept blocking his smiles!

Eventually, with daddy's help, we got some smiles. Speaking of Aaron, on July 4, he got out of the truck at the house and twisted his back.  His back has taken a beating this last year while building the house, and an old back injury has resurfaced.  With the holiday couldn't get into the dr.  Then Thursday we found out his chiropractor is out of town for a week anyways.....so  we visited a new one Thurs and Friday and he's slowly getting better.  He's not in the extreme pain he was on Wednesday, thankfully.  He'll be taking it easy another few days though.  Good for Ethan and i as we get to spend more time with him, even though he can hardly move!
