Surprise Ultrasound

I got a call today asking me if I'd like an ultrasound....... YES! They needed someone to practice on, a girl was learning on a new machine (new to her, as she was use to a different machine at another clinic location). Having not seen baby boy since November, I was excited to see how he'd grown! Because of the location of the placenta, it's been hard to see his face and profile but it's amazing how they can take this picture, rotate it in 3D or 4D and crop out the placenta and other obstructions, then turn it back and see this..... It's been cropped along the top of his head too so that you can concentrate on his face more. His arms were up by his chin but in this photo it's actually the cord. They also estimated his current weight at 7lbs 4oz. Of course that could be way off, and of course he'll keep growing each day. You can't see in this photo, but in another one they showed me his head of hair :) Tomorrow is my 39 week appointment, anxious to know if he's made any more progress. And Friday is full moon........ will keep you posted!
