Mark and I watched a Nova special on the Tsunami last night. They talked about how a certain side of a shore line might be sheltered from damage because of the direction of the wave or the depth of the bay. So one area would be completely devastated and a few km down, hardly touched. Very interesting.
I've watched several shows about it over the last couple years, sure helps me comprehend the devastation and how much it was cleaned up that year before we were there.
