I was treated to a wonderful lunch with friends. And my friend from highschool who recently moved here came for the evening. Of course Karter thought she came to play with him and she had to wear a hat too.

She thoughtfully brought me flowers, which included my favorite, sunflowers!
Yesterday afternoon while I was doing some cleaning, I let Karter do some painting. We had a basket that Brooke got free somewhere and so I let him use watercolors on it because that was the only paint I had. It's the easiest to clean up anyways and after it dried the basket actually looked nice.
