The Wilds

This week we took advantage of having season passes to the zoo. The Wilds, southeast of Zanesville, is included in the pass. Here is some of what we saw.... (you ride on a bus and as you come close to animals they stop and allow you to watch and take pictures).

You can see how close we were to the giraffes (my favorite). The top row of windows slide open to allow better viewing and photography. Much of the time we were the only ones on the bus so we could move around to get the best photos.

They have some stops where you get off the bus and do some exploring. Here we walked to the wetlands (which dried up two years ago) and a guide was there with some deer bones on display. Before we realized, Karter had a wetwipe out of his bag and was cleaning the bones for the man. That's Karter (:
